I spent the days eating ripe mangos and tortillas pressed minutes before. My shoes sat unworn the entire time. I acquired the appropriate amount of sunburn.

The divide between inside and outside was nonexistent. The birds had so much to say. Everything made sense.

I learned the power of vulnerability: what it means to share a space with others—others feeling equally as lost or unsure. We are all the same, really.
